Sustainability

At the Federation of Earlswood Schools we are committed to teaching children the importance of sustainable development.

Sustainable travel has always been important to us at Earlswood. We have been a proud ‘Bike-It’ school for a number of years and we have secured a Silver Award for our achievements. Throughout the year we hold a number of events in order to promote sustainable forms of transport such as our Bike It Breakfasts, Pedals Training (Yr 2) and Bikeability Training (Yr 6).

We have worked hard over the last academic year to transform our garden at the Infant site and have created allotments at both schools. We are the proud owners of chickens and children take turns to look after them each week. Our eggs are then used to create healthy dishes in our very own cookery room.

We are always looking for volunteers to help us maintain our allotments please let us know if you would like to lend a hand.

The Federation of Earlswood Schools recognise our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all pupils. We endeavour to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children are respected and valued. We are alert to the signs of abuse and neglect and follow our procedures to ensure that children receive effective support, protection and justice. Child protection forms part of the school’s safeguarding responsibilities.
