Whole School Community Art Project

 

Rainbow Patchwork Challenge
You are all invited to make a patchwork square, we will join them together to make a huge rainbow when we all come back to school!

 


You will need
A square of fabric 20cm x20cm in your year group’s rainbow colour
(If you don’t have any fabric this can be cut from an old piece of clothing, pillowcase or tablecloth etc- But ask your adult first!)
Felt tip pens,
Items to decorate
(This can be anything you can find e.g. scraps fabric,
 beads, recycled materials)

Glue or needle and thread
(Ask your adult if you want to sew things on!)

 

You can decorate your square in any way you please, just make sure your fabric is 20cmx20cm and the following rainbow colour
Nursery- gold (you are making the pots of gold at each end of the rainbow. You may need to use golden collage on yellow or orange fabric if you can't anything gold)

Yr R-violet
Yr1- indigo
Yr2- blue
Yr3-green
Yr4- yellow
Yr5- orange
Yr6- red

If you can only find white fabric, you can paint it in your rainbow colour.
Remember- We will arrange and join our squares together to create a giant rainbow when we all come back to school!
