17.12.21 There are no spellings this week. Have a lovely break.
I am sorry that I put the wrong spellings on the website last week and did they not match what was set on purple mash. I have updated the spelling lists now. If you have already learnt this weeks spellings please look at spellings from last week. Thank you, Mrs Knight.
English
Children will be given a reading book appropriate for their stage of development and will have the opportunity to change this book at least twice a week. In addition, they may select a book of their own choice. Children should aim to read for 15 minutes every day and make a record in their reading record book. Some children will have phonics activities to support their reading.
Children will be given a list of 10 spellings to learn, which will be taken from the National Curriculum and practised on Purple Mash. There will be a half termly spelling test.
Mathematics
By the end of Year 3, most children will be expected to recall and use multiplication and division facts for the 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12 multiplication tables. Numbers in bold are new times tables for Year 3.
Times tables Rockstars – please complete a minimum of two sessions a week at home.
