Summer Term

We will finish our topic of Stone-age and then look at 'Our Wonderful World' As part of our Wonderful World Topic we will be planting and growing some food in the allotment.

Our PE days remain on Wednesday and Thursdays. Children are being asked to come in to school in their PE kits.

Please ensure they have wellington boots in school to use when we go to the allotment.

Please send in reading books on Friday. The children will choose a new book on Mondays. If your child is reading their own chapter books, please still continue to record this in their reading records. 

Book Bingo- Please encourage your child to complete their book bingo sheets. There will be prizes handed out at the end of the term. 

Autumn Term

We are really looking forward to working with your children in Year 3. We have had a lovely start to the term and is has been great to get to know your children over the last couple of days.

PE
Our PE days are Wednesday (outdoors) and Thursday (indoors). Children need to bring their PE kit in a bag which is then on their peg for the whole week. The children will change at school. Please make sure all of their clothes are labelled. 

There has been some concerns about children changing at school. Please make sure your child is wearing a vest on PE days if they are feeling anxious. 

Woodlands
Our woodlands day is Monday. The children will need wellington boots. We will not be going to the woodlands every week but if possible would like their wellies to be left in school. If you need them at the weekend, please make sure that they are returned for Monday. 

Snacks
The children do not have fruit provided in Year 3. If you would like your child to have a snack at break time, please send in a piece of fruit or vegetable, NOT cereal bars, chocolate bars or fruit roll ups. 

Clothing
Please ensure you have named jumpers, PE kits and water bottles. 

Year 2 stuff
We have all of the wellies and PE kits from Year 2. You should have received your child’s year 2 books. If you are missing anything, please let us know so we can return it to you. Any un-named items will be thrown away on Friday 11th September.
