Art and Design
At Earlswood we value the Art curriculum. Art is inclusive and gives all a chance to shine. We believe in using a wide range of artists as the starting point to inspire and inform our pupils learning, hoping to spark life-long passions. We believe that talking about Art teaches transferable communication skills. We practice and develop a range of skills including drawing, painting, collage, printmaking and sculpture. We encourage children to take ownership of their work and we take time to celebrate their artistic achievements through quality displays and online galleries.
In the Early Years we make our environments multi sensory giving the children first hand experiences to help to connect and enquire about the world, laying down the building blocks of mark making and colour.
Due to our commitment to The Arts, We have embarked on a journey to achieve The Artsmark award, run by The Arts Council England. Putting creativity and wellbeing at the heart of our Arts curriculum.
