Children in Need - Friday 18th November
On Friday 18th November, we ask that children and staff wear something spotty to celebrate Children in Need. Your donations can help children and young people all over the UK who need it most. If you would like to complete your own fundraising challenges, please follow this link for some ideas - https://www.bbcchildreninneed.co.uk/fundraising/ten-on-the-spot-fundraising-challenges/
If you are unsure about how to use Numbots, please see the user guide above.
This week you should have received a QR code, this is your Wonde login you can use to access numbots. Here is the address https://edu.wonde.com/login
We will also place your child's emoji password in their reading record book.
Children will be given a reading book appropriate for their stage of development once a week and in addition, they may select a book of their choice. Parents/carers please try to read for 10 minutes every day with your child and record this in the reading record book.
At the Infant school, the children have a chance to earn a reading ted. Working towards their very own Reading Ted is a fantastic way to support and encourage daily reading and help inspire a life-long love of books.
For every 25 reads a child completes they will receive a celebratory certificate. Once a child has 100 recorded reads in their Reading Record book, they will be awarded their Ted and a celebratory certificate. Every subsequent 25 reads will earn a celebratory certificate and every subsequent 50 reads they will receive an item of clothing or accessory.
Reads will be counted from both home and school and all teachers should encourage at least 5 reads per week.
Please can I remind you to bring in a water bottle everyday. Children will be given the opportunity to drink from their water bottle throughout the day. Please water only.
