Maths: This week we will be looking at converting and calculating with metric measures.
Writing: This week the children will be completing a non chronological report with a focus on comparative writing, comparing marine and freshwater biomes.
Reading: This week we will be reading our book 'Holes' and looking at a range of skills including summary and inference.
Topic: This week we will be learning about the locations, physical and human features of different biomes around the world.
PSHE: This week we will be thinking about having appreciation for people the way they are and how we can show empathy to others.

Maths: This week we will be revisiting using all four operations with fractions.
Writing: This week the children will be starting a unit on comparative writing. We will be looking at the toolkit and unpicking some of the features.
Reading: This week we will be reading our book 'Holes' and looking at a range of skills including retrieval and inference.
Topic: This week we will be learning about the locations, physical and human features of different biomes around the world.
PSHE: This week we will be thinking about ways that people can have power over others and strategies to help in these situations.

We are very excited to welcome the children back for the new school year on Thursday 4th September!
For the first two days back we will be focussing on getting the children settled into their new classrooms, with their new peers and new teachers. We will be going through reminders, taking part in some fun ice breaker activities and introducing our topic 'Darwin's Delights'.
